And dominant they truly were.  A strong 12-4 regular season turned into a juggernaut as the Ravens D whipped the Broncos, Titans, and Raiders on their way to the Super Bowl—giving up a combined sixteen points in the process. All told heading into the Super Bowl, the Ravens were on a ten-game winning streak during which they gave up a grand total of 83 points. The Broncos have had several runs of success and their conference championship and Super Bowl title rings are available in replica form. These ring retail from $50 up to $300 or more, depending on the year and the quality of the rings.

On February 5, 2012 Eli Manning led the Giants to a 20-17 victory over Tom Brady and his New England Patriots,  the second time that Manning proved his abilities on the big stage.

Fans got to share in the excitement of the ring ceremony when the team handed out souvenir rings during a special promotion to coincide with the on field event.  The team didn't skimp, either.  The Cardinals 2011 World Series ring replicas are selling for good money (check them out here).

The top of the ring features the classic Cardinal bird-on-bat crafted out of faceted red rubies and surrounded by a 14 karat yellow gold frame that brings out the deep red color in the authentic rubies.  The rest of the ring is made of 14 karat white gold.  Surrounding the bird on top is a field of 103 round diamonds. The words “WORLD CHAMPIONS” frame the iconic insignia with diamonds set behind words which is a first in championship ring design.

One ring side features the player’s name, jersey number and a ruby-filled “StL” emblem surrounded by the World Series leaf treatment that was used in the 2011 version of the MLB Fall Classic logo. This ring side also features the “Rally Squirrel” jumping over home plate which was a positive omen to players and fans in last year’s playoffs.

The opposite side of the ring features Busch Stadium’s Gate 3 bridge including the famous Musial Statue underneath with a ruby-embellished “11” sitting above the phrase “World Series Titles”. The years 1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982 and 2006 are displayed on the bottom shank of the ring to give prominence to the team’s 10 previous World Series titles and connect this year’s team with the earlier Cardinals World Series champion teams.

Intricate and custom engraving on the underside of each ring enhances the distinct and one-of-a-kind design. This engraving shows the three playoff series scores from the playoffs and ends with the phrase “Happy Flight” below them.  Fans will remember the phrase as a common refrain in the clubhouse as the team won an uncanny number of games at the end of road trips during the second half of the 2011 season.  Dozens of the Cardinals World Series replica rings have already been offered online, going for as much as $175 each.  Prices came down as more fans began to offer the rings.

In Super Bowl III, the Jets were the first AFL team to beat an NFL team, which at the time, the AFL was considered inferior to the NFL. The Jets championship ring from the 1968 season might stand alone, but is well worth its weight.

The 1968 NFL season was a great year for the Jets. After completing the season at 11-3, Namath and his eight-year-old team went on to face the Oakland Raiders for the AFL championship. The Raiders were 12-2 that season so they faced a playoff game with the Kansas City Chiefs, who were also 12-2. The Jets went on to beat the Raiders 27-23 and had their attention turned to the heavily favored Baltimore Colts for Super Bowl III.

Baltimore posted a 13-1 record that year and had dominated the NFL. The league was already considered the superior league so when the Jets came in and defeated the Colts 16-7 (New York only allowed Baltimore to score once, in the fourth quarter), the sentiment started to change course. It culminated in 1969 with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFL defeated the Minnesota Vikings, leading to an equal merger.
